Welcome to the Eastern Shore of Virginia

Virginia's Eastern Shore is seventy miles long running north to south, fifteen miles open at its widest point and only two miles wide at the narrow end. The Eastern Shore of Virginia is surrounded by water on three sides.

With the Atlantic Ocean to the East, and the Chesapeake Bay to the West, and accessible via a 17 mile Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel from Virginia Beach, this undisturbed area may well be the last undeveloped coastline along the East Coast.

There are miles of quiet beaches, quaint towns and villages, charming accommodations and some of the best seafood you'll find anywhere. The Eastern Shore of Virginia boasts many talented and acclaimed artists, a growing local culture and plenty of activities to suit a wide range of preferences.

From our signature golf courses and marinas to our antique shops and auctions, the Eastern Shore of Virginia offers the perfect blend of leisure pursuits, water and nature activities, quiet pastimes and unexpected pleasures, all in a serene setting of beachfront and countryside. It's the perfect vacation, weekend getaway or...well, you justmay find that you want to move here after you visit.

We invite you to explore our website, learn about the many attractions, and make plans to visit soon.
