Climate

Ours is a moderate climate with four well-defined seasons. The average temperature is 58 degrees. Summers average 77 degrees, although August and early September can often climb into the 90’s.

That’s when everyone heads to the water!

Winters average 43 degrees. We get an average of 6 inches of snowfall and 43 inches of rainfall. Besides having a longer growing season than our neighbor farmers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, the rainfall is one of the main reasons our farmlands are so productive.
