Northampton County is fast becoming a center for Ecotourism. The county has certified guides with years of experience and knowledge who can show you the secret places on Virginia’s Eastern Shore that you will never find yourself.

The Seaside, which stretches for 70 miles from the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay northward to Chincoteague Bay and the Maryland state line, has mapped trails for paddlers at all skill levels. The Seaside Canoe & Kayak Trail links public boat launches that line the seaside together making the trail a valuable “tool” for people looking to explore lesser known waterways.
